The dietary values of turkey filets are well-known. This recipe allows you to cook a juicy turkey without much effort and preserve maximum essential nutrients.

To prepare the dish, it is best to take a turkey filet (breast without skin and bones) weighing no more than 2 pounds. The optimum amount is 700 - 800 grams.

First, you need to remove excess fat from the filet. Place the filet on the foil. Add a few cloves of garlic and 2-3 bay leaves. You can season the filet to your liking, but garlic and bay leaves pair well with tender turkey meat.

Then, you need to wrap the seasoned meat in foil or a roasting sleeve and put the filet into the double boiler.

The ideal cooking time is 1 hour. It is convenient to use an electric steamer, this will allow you to do other things while the turkey is being cooked.

After one hour, let the filet cool, only then you can unfold the foil or sleeve and remove the garlic and bay leaves that have already given their flavor to the meat.

Tip: if you keep your steamed turkey filet in the refrigerator for several hours, its structure will change and the dish can be easily cut into thin slices.

This method of cooking is the most gentle and the meat remains juicy. If you don't have a steamer, use an oven. Bake time 1 hour at 180 degrees Celsius (350 Fahrenheit)
